With the creation of mere photographs, I bring nature's beauty into the confines of our compartmentalized places.
As we build and manipulate our environment to keep nature out, we perpetuate a false sense of separation. Are we a part of nature, or apart from nature? With these experiential photographs, I encourage the viewer to question his/her place in this world. Where do you fit in? Are you outside of evolution, or do you feel a kinship with nature? By bringing the great outdoors inside, I aim to blur the boundaries between inside and out. The walls of separation between nature and man/woman are deconstructed (dissolved). Are you on the inside looking out or are you on the outside looking in? I challenge you, the viewer, to contemplate a kinship; a kinship that exists between Gaia and all living things.
